Artists Needed for Arts in Motion 5k
Help is needed for recruiting talent for our third annual Arts in Motion 5k, September 3, in Royal Oak. We’ve teamed up with Arts, Beats & Eats this year to grow our annual walk/run fundraiser, and we want to be sure we have a strong presence of talented kids and adults performing and otherwise DOING ART at our event – highlighting the importance of arts education for a brand new audience, and inspiring runners, walkers and their families with great art! We are looking for…PERFORMERS – choirs, instrumental ensembles, dancers, improv troupes, circus types – to perform OUTSIDE, either in the park, along the race course, or IN the race itself (on the move) VISUAL ARTISTS – to either install temporary art in the park or create awards for our participants. You can find complete guidelines for artist participation here: http://www.michiganyoutharts.org/pdf/artistguidelines.pdf.
