Auditions Next Weekend for “Nadia” at Actors’ Theatre

 Everyone is both fascinated and repulsed by the taboo work of the enigmatic Russian artist Nadia.  Enter Kristen, a young grad student researching Nadia for her writing, who is willing to go to extraordinary lengths to put herself in the famous artist’s shoes… Lines between art, pornography, life and psychological torture blur in this compelling new play that examines the convergence – and inevitable consequence – of Art, love and war. : late 20’s to late 30’s – an enigmatic Russian artist, a former child sex slave (Note: partial nudity, back visible to audience, is required for this role)
Lily: late 20’s – 30’s – Videographer who develops feelings for Nadia
Kristin: 20’s – A graduate student writing her Masters’ thesis on Nadia (Note: nudity, back visible to audience, is required for this role)
Steve: late 20’s – Kristin’s boyfriend, a teaching assistant perpetual graduate student
Bryson: 40’s-50’s – An international businessman who has a history with Nadia

Additional Notes:
– Full production rehearsals to begin during the second week in August, however availability is required from all cast members from 7/25 – 8/1 for the workshop phase of play development

– Download a non-printable perusal copy of sample sections of Nadia.  Note that additional scenes may be used during the audition process.
