Hope Summer Rep Local Auditions and Tech Interviews

Screen Shot 2013-02-12 at 11.51.28 AMHope Summer Repertory Theatre will be holding local technical interviews and additional auditions on Sunday, February 17 in the DeWitt Cultural Center Main Theatre.

Technical interviews will be from 3-5pm in 10 minute intervals.  Please prepare a cover letter, resume, and portfolio (if applicable) and bring these along to your interview.

Auditions will be from 5:30-9pm.  Please prepare two contrasting monologues (preferably one classical).  If you sing, please prepare and bring along 16 bars of sheet music for our accompanist.

Employment Opportunity: Instructor to Teach Acting and Dance for Musical Theatre Needed

 

 

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp needs your help!  Summer sessions are fast approaching and the theatre department is still looking for an instructor to teach acting and dance for Musical Theatre.  The dates are June 26 – July 8 and the campers will be in high school.

JOB DESCRIPTION: ENTERTAINER WANTED

Seeking a male candidate to fill a full-time position. Requirements include:

  • Must be good with children. Experience with children’s theater beneficial.
  • Improv experience necessary. Clowning, magic background helpful.
  • Extremely energetic and must be able to model a healthy, active lifestyle.
  • Specialty skills a plus; examples include: tennis, cycling, basketball, rollerblading, kid-friendly activities, etc
  • Willingness to relocate within Michigan.

Salary range: $40,000 – $60,000 plus vehicle and benefits.

Internship Opportunity at Broadway Grand Rapids

Broadway Grand Rapids seeks an enthusiastic intern with a desire to learn about business and the non-profit industry.  Responsibilities include assisting with marketing and public relations; marketing material distribution; managing fundraiser donations; social media; Seat 4 Kids project management; sponsorship campaigns; assisting with phone calls; assisting with mailings; organizing filing system; researching potential sources for funding, including individuals, companies and foundations; assisting with grant writing; special projects as needed; administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements: Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, ability to work unsupervised and take initiative, highly organized, must like to talk on the phone and to the public, must be able to efficiently and effectively interact with staff, board, and volunteers, must be resourceful, excellent proofreading skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Experience with graphic design and social media marketing encouraged. Must be able to provide transportation to and from internship. Hours are flexible and negotiable. Position is unpaid, but qualified intern will be eligible to receive free tickets to our Broadway productions and parking assistance.
