Conducted by Robert Lyall
Directed by James Marvel
A darkly comedic Mozart masterpiece filled with opera’s most challenging and lyric arias.
Mozart’s first singspiel opera gracefully mingles tragedy and comedy. A combination of dialogue and arias craft the heartbreaking journey of the heroine Constanza. Abducted into a harem, she awaits rescue from her lover Belmonte. As he schemes to steal her back from the evil Osmin.
Sung in German with English dialogue, The Abduction from the Seraglio will be presented in an intimate venue, allowing for an unusually close-up grand opera experience. For this reason seating is limited!
